About Bill Van Winkle


Bill Van Winkle, CLU®, CFP®, MSFS is a Certified Financial Planner®, with his office since 1979 at 776 Shrewsbury Avenue, Tinton Falls, New Jersey.
Bill joined New York Life Insurance Company in March of 1979 and qualified for Chairman’s Council in his third year as an agent and 25 out of the next 27 years. He is a 2009-2010 member of Chairman’s Cabinet, reflecting the highest level of sales performance at New York Life.
Bill is an Elite Circle Qualifier for annuity sales performance and he is affiliated with Eagle Strategies and a member agent of The Nautilus Group, which is a service of New York Life Insurance Company.
Understanding the importance of education, he followed two different courses of study to achieve his CLU® and CFP® designations simultaneously. He later went on to receive his MSFS from the American College. He also attended The Coaching Series training program at New York Life.
He believes in giving back to the industry with his service. He was very involved with the Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT) on various Committees and Task Forces, and from 1997 to 2000 served on the Board of the MDRT Foundation.
As well as service to the industry in general, Bill served on various sub-committees of New York Life's Agents Advisory Council (AAC) beginning in 1989 and was elected AAC Vice President in 1991 and AAC President in 1992.
Active in the community, Bill has served on the Boards of the Visiting Nurse Association of Central New Jersey, the Monmouth Conservation Foundation and the Riverview Hospital Foundation, as well as being a Past President of the Brookdale Community College Foundation and is a  Past President of The Holland Society of New York.
An avid sailor, Bill is Past Commodore of both the Shrewsbury Sailing & Yacht Club and the North Jersey Yacht Racing Association.
A graduate of Lehigh University, Bill holds BS degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Business Administration, conferred concurrently.
Bill and his wife, Beverly, reside in Little Silver, New Jersey.
